Her marriage was June 3, 1943, in Otterbein, to Robert E. Walters. He was a truck driver for Fauber's Construction Co. before retiring, and he died Sept. 16, 1984.
Mrs. Walters, a homemaker, was a member of First Christian Church; Eagles Lodge 374 Auxiliary, where she was a past national president; Navy Club Auxiliary of Ship 12, where she was a former commander; American Legion Auxiliary; Brotherhood of Railroad Trainer Auxiliary; Golden Rule; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Surviving are three sons, Robert L. Walters, Kevin Walters, both of Lafayette, and Edward Walters of Asheville, NC; one daughter, Jon Karen (Mrs. Michael) Grimes of Dayton, IN; one sister, Louise Zahn of Lafayette; two brothers, Leroy Zahn and William Zahn, both of Lafayette; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by an infant son.
