Troy Carter Mills
Mr. Mills, 77, of 126 Kimmswick Road, Charlotte, died January 25, 2004 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was a native of Greeneville, TN, son of the late Joseph Perry and Rosa Tarleton Mills. He served in the US Army during World War II, was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charlotte, and was a retired service technician with F.& E. Check Protector Service in Charlotte.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Morgan Mills; a brother, Buddy Lee Mills of Belmont; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Norman Kelly Mills, and a brother, Charles Clinnie Mills.
A memorial service conducted by the Reverend John Johnson will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 131 McCord Street, Charlotte, NC 28216.
