CUMBERLAND — Della Cecelia Elkins Hupp Kincaid, 80, formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Gilchrist Hospice, Towson.
Born on Oct. 12, 1933 in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse R. and Della C. Elkins; beloved wife of Harry L. Kincaid of Fairmount, W.Va., and the late James R. Hupp, Sr.; devoted mother of Linda Grimes of Elkridge, James R. Hupp, Jr. of Cumberland, Pamela Steinmann of Pasadena, and Dennis Hupp of Rock Hill, S.C.; dear sister of Dorothy Poling Elfiz of Sandusky, Ohio, Evalee Stangle of Ridgeley, W.Va., Eileen Sisk of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and the late Iona, Eugene, Jesse and Glenn Elkins; also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hupp-Kincaid retired from Allegany County Health Department. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion in Ridgeley, WVA and the VFW POST 8097 in Jessup.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, North Center Street, Cumberland, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014 at 10 a.m.
Inurnment in MSVC-Rocky Gap.
