WHITEWATER - Miss Alma Mae Pierce, 65, a native of Whitewater who resided in Kenosha, died Sunday in Lake Forest (Ill.) Hospital after an illness. Miss Pierce was born May 30, 1900, in Whitewater, the daughter of G. Henry and Mary Ann Blood Pierce. She received her education in Whitewater and Kenosha and completed her nurse's training at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. She was a well-known infant nurse, employed for many years by prominent Milwaukee families. She was last employed in the home of the late Marshall Field III and Mrs. Field at Lake Forest, Ill. She was a member of the Eli Pierce Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution in Whitewater. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Redding and Mrs. Walter Mau, both of Kenosha, and Mrs. Laura Pierce Clarke, Whitewater; and several area relatives. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
