"Sosthène Martinez, a new resident of our Parish, was arrested last week, and brought before Justice Meynier, of our Town, as accused of having gathered about 100 horse creatures belonging to divers inhabitants of our Parish, with the intention of appropriating them to his own benefit.

Martinez was sent to Jail until he can furnish a bond with security for $1000 for his appearance before the next District Court.
