CANISTEO - John Bobryk , 82, of 15 Second Street, died Monday at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell following a long illness.
He was born in Poland and lived most of his life in United States. He resided in the Canadian Army during World War I.
Mr. Bobryk retired in 1959 as a machinist for the former Erie Railroad. He was married to the late Teresa Maglier Bobryk.
He is survived by one step-son, Frank Camps of Canisteo; 10 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the H.P. Smith and Son Funeral Home in Canisteo today from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7pm, where a funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Francis J. Erb officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joachim's section of Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
