Sedalia, Missouri
24 Feb 1941
Audrey Burris, mechanic of the Ford garage at Tipton, apparently took his life about 7:30 o'clock this morning shortly after reporting for work at the garage. A companion who works at the garage reported hearing a shot and upon making an investigation found Mr. Burris with a gunshot wound in the temple.
No reason could be given for his act. According to information of persons about the garage, Mr. Burris had left no note on his person which might indicate a desire to end his life.
Surviving him are his widow and three sons and a daughter. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burris, five sisters and five brothers also survive.
