He taught for 33 years in the Lioti, Victoria, Paradise, Waldo and Winona school systems. He was the organist for St. Fidelis Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen, Ulysses, and Drew, Hays; four sisters, Sister Cordelia Bahl, Huntingon, Ind., Agnes Bahl, Ellis, Lucille Weissbeck, Salem, Ore., and Alice Brown, South Laguna, Calif.; two brothers, Julius and Richard, both of California; six grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis, Father Gilmary Tallman officiated; burial was in the church cemetery.
