Delpha was Harvey's second wife. His first wife was Angeline Pendergraft (Mar. 3, 1840-April 15, 1860) they were married in 1855 in McDonald, MO. They had 3 children: Emily C. Laughlin 1856-1884, Melvin Jonathan Laughlin 1857-1881, and Thomas L. Laughlin 1876-1934 (He is also listed as Delpha Hall's off-string so he is questionable as to parent.

OBITUARY: Wheaton Journal, Jan 10, 1929, H. J. Laughlin Dies - H. J. Laughlin, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at the home of his son, T. L. Laughlin, last Thursday night. Uncle Harve was one of our oldest citizens, being 92 years of age. He spent most of his life in McDonald County. He was bedfast for six months but became worse Wednesday when he had a stoke of paralysis. He leaves four sons and three daughters, several grand children and great-great grand children, and a host of friends to mourn his departure. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a highly respected citizen. --
OBITUARY: Pineville Democrat, Jan 4, 1929, Harvey J. Laughlin was born in Morgan County, Virginia, August 1, 1836 and died a the home of his son, T. L. Laughlin, at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 2 days. In March 1855 he was united in marriage with Angeline Pendergraft. They were the parents of three children all of whom are now dead. His first wife died April 15, 1859. He was married to Delphia A. Hall December 9, 1860, who died July 7, 1928. To this union were born eleven children, four of whom are dead. He came to this county with his father and settled on Big Sugar Creek in 1839. He was a member of the Confederate Army, belonging to Gen Green's Regiment. He participated in the battles of Pea Ridge and Beaver's Mill. In 1888 he was elected Judge of the Eastern District. Surviving are four sons, Asberry of Mounds, Okla.; John, of Pineville; Jim, of Joplin; Tom Lee, of Jane; and three daughters, Minnie Stevens of Powell; Lois Foster of Webb City; and Mattie Brewer of Keifer, Okla. Burial was in Roller Cemetery.
