Jose Arnaldo Calderon, long-time resident of Algiers, passed away at 91 years of age on May 28th at 1:30 pm in Plano, Texas, with his daughter and son-in-law at his side. He lived an exciting and adventurous life and has gone to join Margarita, his loving wife of 50 years.

"Nayo" was a proud patriot as a WWII Veteran, serving four years, and he sailed the seas with Lykes Brothers and the United Fruit Company for 33 years in the Merchant Marine. During that duty, he served on a ship captured by the US, and while docked in Vietnam during the conflict, took fire daily. He served 18 months on board.
