Billie Spruiell Lane passed very peacefully from this life on April 1, 2013. Billie was born Jan. 9, 1928 to Simon and Mattie Spruiell in Tahoka, TX. She married Jim Edward Lane Nov. 8, 1948 and they made their home in Wilson, TX and later New Home, TX. Jim preceded her in death September 24, 1994. Billie was an accomplished artist. Her canvas painting, tole painting, sewing, quilting, Santa Clause making were all beautiful creations and true master pieces that came alive at the touch of her hands. If it could be painted, crafted, or created she could do it. Billie was a hairdresser for many years in Wilson, Slaton, and New Home.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Vicki Morton and husband Gary of Fort Worth, TX, Jimmye Lane of Lubbock TX, and Susan Zant and husband Leland of New Home TX; her grandchildren, Lanny Zant and wife Cindy, Shannon Zant and wife Crystal, Shane Zant and wife Ashlie, Stori Lane and Brent Morton. The true joy of her life were her great grandchildren, Karson and Reagyn Zant, Jaxxon and Maddox Zant, Averie, Kallie and Charlie Zant, Kaden and Garret Morrison.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Green Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilson, Texas.
