Flora Aaron was born Sept. 12, 1879, the daughter of T. Ledwith and Susanna Burgoon Aaron. She died Dec. 4, 1956. Rev. Joseph Burke officiated at her funeral and burial in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
She attended the Clarion Normal School and devoted 48 years to teaching in the rural and consolidated schools of Limestone, Clarion and Redbank Townships, retiring in June 1946. The good citizenship of her many students can be partly attributed to this wise teacher's simple, heartfelt expression, "I loved my work!"
She was the Historian for the 1928 Commemorative Booklet of St. Nicholas Church.
