Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point with the Rev. Ossie McCauley officiating. Burial will follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.
Mr. Dallas is survived by two sons, Abdul (Kirah) Akim of Wydanch, N.Y., and Andrea Hatchett Dallas of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Roosevelt Dallas Jr. of Yeadon, Pa., and John (Juanita) Dallas of Hyde Park, N.Y.; three sisters, Cornie Story and Mary Gholston, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Mattie Mae Caldwell of Villa Rica, Ga.; his aunt, Mattie Clark of Atlanta; two nieces, Rosa (Soloman) Dawson of West Point and Neil S. Wheat of LaGrange; his nephew, Gregory B. (Pee Wee) Cofield of West Point; two special friends, Ruby Graham Higgins and Sammy Heard; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Born March 9, 1944 in Troup County, Mr. Dallas was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Troy Hatchett Dallas; two brothers, Calvin Dallas and Judge Dallas; and his sister, Mary Ros Dallas. He was the son of the late Mr. Roosevelt (Sr.) and Susie Mae Billingslea Dallas.
The body will lie in state at the church Friday, March 2 from noon until the funeral hour.
