Guy J. Ackerson , 69, of rural Marietta died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 1991, at the residence of a brother, Clarence, in Bushnell.
He was born May 11, 1922, in Marietta to William P. and Mary E. Smith Ackerson .
Surviving are four brothers, Perry and Clarence, both of Bushnell, Glen of Mesa, Ariz., and William of rural Marietta, with whom he made his home; four sisters, Anna Harms of Rushville, Florence Bollinger of Mesa, Ariz., Charlotte Cruzan of Canton and Pearl Pendl of Bellevue; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Marietta area.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, the Rev. Ron Derrig-Green officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Fulton County.
