Joyce K. Boyd, 83, of Rich Creek, Va., formerly a resident of Princeton for 28 years, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005, at the Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton. She was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Emmett and Jessie Barnett Bowyer. She was a homemaker and a former employee of The Greenbrier. She was also a member of White Sulphur Springs Presbyterian Church, White Sulphur Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gray Boyd; three sisters, Phyllis Morgan, Myrtle Jones and Madolyn Ratliff; and a brother, Eugene Bowyer. Surviving: son, Jimmy Gray Boyd of Mount Hope; a daughter and her husband, Tina Jo and Larry Weatherly of Kellysville; a sister, Mina Jones of South Charleston; a brother and his wife, Marvin and Minnie Bowyer of Pineville; two grandchildren, James G. Boyd of Tampa, Fla., and Larry E. Weatherly Jr. of Kellysville; and special friends, Kathy Scott and Mary Taylor.
