Mrs. Sarah Carlile Passed Away Sunday
Mrs. Sarah Carlile, aged 69 years, wife of John P. Carlile, died of complications early Sunday morning at the home in Newark township, route 1, Underwood, after an illness of ten days.
She was born in Denmark and had lived sixty years in Pottawattamie County, forty-nine years of which were spent in Norwalk township.
She is survived by her husband, four sons: Myron J. of Tudor, Calif; Dr. Amos W., of Manning, IA; Ether A. and David A. of Underwood, and four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Darrington, Boomer township; Mrs. Iona G. Damitz, Underwood, IA; Mrs. Eulalia S. Sewing, Neola, IA and Mrs. Edna Klopping, Underwood, IA; two brothers Fred Hansen, Persia, IA and Kennedy Hansen, Myrtle Point, Oregon; and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Clark, Merreno, Colorado, and Mrs. Julia Christensen, Berkeley, California. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at the home at 12:30 o'clock and at the [R.]L.D.S. church in Underwood at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
