On October 15, 1940, she was married to James Robert Gresham. They had three children, a son and two daughters. On December 28, 1971, she was married to Henry Arthur Munn. Henry preceded her in death on August 20, 1992. On August 1, 2003, she was married to Kay Lee Skipworth.
Betty was a very talented person. She could look at a dress, and cut out a pattern for it from newsprint, and then make it with her own special touches. She had made many beautiful ensembles through the years. She also was a talented pianist, playing by ear as well as being able to read music. Betty loved sitting and playing for hours on end. She had even taught piano lessons for several years. Jewelry was another of her interests. She liked both making jewelry to match her outfits, as well as buying special pieces to add to her collection. Betty enjoyed having a pretty yard, and all the work that goes with it.
Betty was a member of the Central Christian Church, and had taught Sunday School for several years. In more recent years, she attended the Southside Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena (Ownsby) and Thomas Elby Wells; her only brother, Guy Wells, a son-in-law, David Ferguson; and two grandchildren, Randall Ferguson and Stephanie (Gilman) Dodd, and her second husband, Henry Arthur Munn.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Kay Lee Skipworth who is a resident at Retirement Ranch in Clovis, NM; two daughters, Lynelle Gilman (husband, Ralph) of Portales, NM; and Leadelle Ferguson of Lubbock, TX; a son, Lanny Gresham (wife, Joan) of Dora, NM; two grandchildren, Christy Gilman of Lubbock and Karen Miraval (Albert) of Littlefield, TX; four great-grandchildren: Kody, Kayla, Matthew and Bradon; and one great-great-grandchild, Zayden.
