Oren Holton, Mrs. A.W. Barber's father, died Monday evening in Tacoma. The body was brought to this city last evening accompanied by Mrs. Barber. The funeral is to be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Maulsby's Chapel. Mr. Holton was 79 years of age and a member of John Buford Post, G.A.R. He enlisted in 1861, in Company E first ILL Light Artillery, serving until the close of the war. Services at the Chapel will be conducted by Rev. Caudill at the cemetery. The Post will have charge and all comrades and ladies of the G.A.R. and Relief Corps are requested to attend the Service.
