Bill H. Ethridge

Bill H. Ethridge passed away on September 24, 2014 at the age of 84.

He was born on October 23, 1929 in Cleburne, TX but lived most of his life in Luling. Bill served his country for 4 years in the US Army, completing his service as a Sergeant First Class in Japan. He worked throughout the U.S. as a land man for 50 years. Bill enjoyed camping, golfing and his music. He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mattie Mae Ethridge, brothers Kenneth and Jack Ethridge and sister Edna Shotwell. He is survived by Marilyn, his loving wife of 34 years, and children Bill H. Ethridge Jr. and wife Kathy, Karen Albrecht, Kathy Richard and husband R.J., Al Pernitza Jr. and Michael Pernitza. His grandchildren are Stephen Ethridge and wife Leanne, Kevin Ethridge, Zachary Ethridge, Desiree Carpenter and husband Brandon, Christopher Albrecht, Sierra Richard, Amanda Pernitza and Stephen Pernitza. His great grandchildren are Wyatt Ethridge, Emma Mae Ethridge, Kamryn Carpenter, and Karstyn Carpenter. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Ethridge, Kevin Ethridge, Zachary Ethridge, Christopher Albrecht, Brandon Carpenter, and R.J. Richard. Visitation will be at O’Bannon Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6 to 7 PM. Graveside services and interment will be on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11 AM at Luling City Cemetery 1500 E. Pierce Street on US Hwy 90.
