Born in Beach City, Mrs. Smith had lived most of her life in the Navarre area. She retired in 1961 as a cook in Allman Hall of the Massillon State Hospital, and was a member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church in Navarre and the Navarre Pythian Sisters.
Her husband, Earl M. Smith, died in 1952.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Zona) Kindy of Sun City Center, Florida, and Mrs. Alfred (Irma) Sander of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Harry O. of Canton and George A. Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a brother, Walter Reichenbach of Mount Vernon; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph V. Smith, in 1982; a sister, Salome Kitzmiller, and a brother, Clarence C. Reichenbach.
The funeral was held Wednesday, August 17, 1983 at 11 a.m. at the Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home in Navarre with the Rev. David Maly of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was made in Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.
Friends could call at the funeral home Tuesday, August 16, 1983 from 7 to 9 p.m.
