Albert J. "Butch" Alimena Jr., 85, of Sewickley, passed on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. Born Nov. 17, 1928, in Sewickley, he was a son of the late Albert J. Sr. and Josephine (Massie) Alimena. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Helen (Witko) Alimena; father of Susan (Michael) Poore, of Cecil Township, Sandra (Gerald) Trovato, of Sewickley, Deborah Luttrell, of Naples, Fla., Albert J. Alimena III, DMD, of Sewickley, and Mary Jo (Guy) Caruso, of Baden; grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of one. Albert was a 1947 graduate of St. Veronica High School and a senior master sergeant for the Air Force, a member of St. James Church and the Sewickley Senior Men's Club. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 14, at COPELAND'S SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, Sept. 15, in St. James Church by Father Thomas J. Burke. Interment St. James Cemetery.
