Joyce Dempsey was a longtime resident of GlenRose for over 50 years passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 in GlenRose.
Joyce was born March 18, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to Edward and Sally Mason Copus .
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of GlenRose. Joyce loved music, she loved to laugh and just loved life!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Felton Dempsey .
Joyce is survived by her daughter Joan Carr of Denison, TX.; son, Perry Dempsey and wife Bonnie of Walnut Springs, TX.; daughter, Rebecca Knowles and husband Richard of Colleyville, TX . She is also survived by six (6) grandchildren, Sally Southard, Beth Powell, Melissa Jones, Teri Lucas, Kurt Dempsey and Ginger Oldham; by ten (10) great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Joyce will be in state for family and friends from 10am. to 5pm. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Wiley Funeral Home in GlenRose. There will be a graveside service for her family at 2pm. Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Post Oak Cemetery in GlenRose.
