Husband of Helen Laura La Pierre of Clare, Clare County, Michigan; married on 30 March 1919 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. (Divorced in 1927)

"Edward A. Chute, 50, 623 Roderick Avenue, died at St. John's Hospital early this morning.
Mr. Chute has resided in Oxnard since his discharge from military service in March, 1916 and was the agent for the Pacific Greyhound Line until September 1.
He was a veteran of World War I and II, having served in the Medical Corps. in both wars with the U.S. Army.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy L. Chute; father, Arthur H. Chute, Torrance; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Munn and Miss Doreen Chute of Phoenix, Arizona and four grandchildren.
He was a member of the Oxnard Rotary Club, B.P.O. Elks, Number 1443. Oxnard Lodge Number 341, Free and Accepted Masons, Peria Grotto, and the Al Al Malaikah Temple of the Mystic Shrine in Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Reardon's Chapel with the Rev Peter K. Fleming and the Masonic Order officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn."
