FRANK FOUSE NICODEMUS
Mr. Nicodemus, 78, of Hoover Drive, Martinsburg RD 2, died at 1:56 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 1989 at
Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following a brief illness. Mr. Nicodemus retired as owner
and operator of Nick's Auto Mart,Martinsburg RD, in 1984 alter 12years' service. Prior to that, he wasowner and operator of Martinsburg Auto Sales and was employed at Hershberger Garage, Martinsburg,for 10 years. He was born Nov. 25, 1910, in Woodbury, the son of Jacob and Kathryn (Fouse) Nicodemus, andMay 5, 1934, in Martinsburg RD 2, married Evelyn E. Hoover.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters: Connie Vance of Pelham Manor, N.Y., and Carol Johnson of
Martinsburg RD 2; five grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Louise Shirk of Reisterstown, Md.
A brother, Eugene, died in November 1988.
Mr. Nicodemus was a member of St, John's United Church of Christ, Martinsburg, where be was a former deacon. He was a charier member of the Men's Fellowship and a member of the Blair County
Men's Brotherhood. He was a charter member of the
Martinsburg Lions Club, of which he was Lion of the Year in 1964, and was on the Founding Committee of Hershberger Memorial Swimming
Pool, Martinsburg.He was a member of the Booster's Association and Shady Trail Riding
Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to
4 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
the John C. Bolger Funeral Home,
Martinsburg.

Martinsburg RD 2, will be held at 1L
a.m. Thursday at St. John's United
Church of Christ, Martinsburg, by
the Rev. Hugh Gowan. Private interment
at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Friends will be received
from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday at the John C. Bolger
Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
Preceded in death by brother, Harold
Nicodemus of Curryville, in
1957; and brother, Glenn Nicodemus
of Altoona. The family prefers
memorial contributions be given to
St. John's United Church of Christ,
Martinsburg. He was a benefactor to
the Homewood Retirement Center,
Martinsburg.
