Gladys M. Seyfred of 208 So. Cleveland, Galien passed away at arrival at Pawating Hospital, Niles at 9:00 P.M. August 29. Mrs. Seyfred was born May 17, 1898 in Baroda, the daughter of Hubert and Lillian Widdis Marrs. She was 77 years old at the time of her death.
She was married to Albert Seyfred who died in 1947.
Mrs. Seyfred is survived by one daughter and one son: Mrs. Janyce (Harley) Robinson, Lansing; Allan Seyfred, Hart, Mich.; and four grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Vera (Walter) Phillipi, Buchanan; Mrs. Grace (Paul) Luther and Mrs. Ruby (Leonard) Babcock, both of Galien; and Mr. Roscoe Marrs, Schenectady, New York. Mrs. Seyfred had spent her lifetime in the area. Contributions may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service, Galien Ambulance or Galien United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Sept. 1, at the Connelly-Noble Funeral Home in Galien with Elder John P. Rees officiating. She was a member of the Galien United Methodis Church." From page 10, of the Galien River Gazette, September 4, 1975
