Anthony R. Young 92, died Oct. 23, 1992. Funeral services were conducted by Wilson Funeral Chapel on Oct. 5 with Rev. Carl Cureton and Rev. Ron Snow officiating. Burial was in Marcus Memorial Park.
young was born Sept. 29, 1900 in Fredrickstown, Mo., the son of the late Alex Young and Allie Dennis. Young was married June 13, 1925 to the late Charolette Smith.
Survivors include four sons, Truman young of St. Louis, Harold Young, Bobby Young and Allen Young of Cherry Valley, AR; three daughters, Matilda Whitworth of Raswell, New Mexico, Ethel Umfleet of Fredrickstown, Mo. and Catherine Brown of Harrisburg, AR; two brothers, Hollie Young and Adolph Young of Bismarck, Mo.; and two sisters, Mable Wampler and Minnie Jennings. Young was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pearl young.
