Dorothy Jo Trammel of Rimrock passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014. She was 77 years old. Dorothy was born on November 8, 1937 in Cottonwood, AZ to Doc McCauley and Alice Nichols McCauley.

She grew up in the Verde Valley, attending and graduating school in Camp Verde. Dorothy owned several flower shops in the Verde Valley and at one time was the Post Mistress of Rimrock, AZ. She liked riding horses and taking care of animals, and was lucky to live on a ranch most of her life. What Dorothy liked most was working on maintaining her home and yard, and caring for her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Alice McCauley; her sister, Gail; her brother Dougie and her husband and lifetime companion of nearly 60 years, Robert Trammel.

She is survived by four children, David, Dusty, Debbie and Dawn; nine grandchildren, Cheston, Tanya, Tye, Trace, Teri, Stormy, Patrick, Trevor and Saige; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, located at 1013 E. Mingus Ave. in Cottonwood. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19 from 5-7 PM. Services will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 2 PM, with burial to follow at Cottonwood Cemetery.
