Mrs. Barbara Klingensmith, of Monroe Township, passed away Oct. 28, 1916. Mrs. Klingensmith had been in poor health for many years, yet her death was a shock to many of her friends. She had only been seriously affected for two and one half days with stomach trouble.

Mrs. Klingensmith was born in Huntington County, Pa., Feb. 15, 1837. She was a daughter of George and Magdalina Hetrick, and moved with her parents to Clarion County in the year 1845.

At the age of fifteen she united with the Reformed Church at Churchville. She was joined in marriage with Daniel Klingensmith after which she became a member of the Lutheran Church by letter.

Two children and her husband preceded her in death. One son survives, A. W. Klingensmith with whom she made her home. Eight grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. J. D. Weinberg, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. J. H. Moyer, Boyne Falls, Mich.

A funeral took place Nov. 1, the Rev. A. Howe, her pastor, conducted the services and the body was laid to rest in the Churchville Cemetery.
