Mary Elizabeth Butler, 50, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September, 20, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September, 25, 2014 at the Lexington United Methodist Church with Reverend Terry Cook officiating, 1211S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, MO, 64067. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September, 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lexington Memory Gardens. Mary was born on April 23, 1964 in Lexington, MO to Patrick Michael and Dolly YVaughn (Butler) Sause. On October 7, 1983 Mary was united in marriage to Robert Joseph Butler, Jr. in Higginsville, MO, and later separated. Since 2001 Mary was working as a Care Giver at the Ray County Community Services, Inc.. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed going to the casino, cooking and browsing Facebook. Survivors include seven children, Annie Yates and husband Rowdy of Lexington, MO, Patrick Joseph (Joey) Butler and wife Heather of Boys Town, Nebraska, Sara YVaughn Lawrence and husband Adam of Independence, MO, Joshua Michael Butler of Lexington, MO, Jason Lee Butler and companion Brittany Carter of Lexington, MO, William Robert Butler of Lexington, MO and Brenda Belle Butler of Lexington, MO; eight grandchildren; three brothers, William Michael Sause and wife Cindy of Richmond, MO, Patrick Anthony Sause of Independence, MO and James Leo Sause and wife Michelle of Omaha, NE; one sister, Theresa Catherine Honeycutt and husband Wyndell of Oak Grove, MO; a longtime companion, Roy Swigart of Lexington, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
