Mr William B. Gayfer died at his resi-
dence, Indigo, on Saturday. Deceased,
who was 65 years of age, was at one
time. English buyer for a Melbourne
warehouse. Failing health necessitated
change of climate, and he occupied the
position of manager of Manfred Station,
New South Vales, for 20 years. Later
he purchased Tiltagoonah Station, near
Cobar, and after eight years disposed of
the property to take up land at Indigo.
Shortly after arrival at Chiltern Mr
Gayfer was elected as councillor of the
Indigo Riding, shire of Chiltern. He
leaves a widow, seven sons, and two
daughters. The cause of death was
heart failure.
