Will was captured and escaped from prison at Paris Texas on at least two occasions before being sent to the Federal Prison in Atlanta. He was eventually received a Presidential Pardon.

Died from complications following surgery to remove most of his colon. Dr. told him to not be climbing stairs etc till he had time to heal. Ruptured his surgery and bled out.
Hollywood became interested in Will's life and he sold his life's story to a movie company in about 1950 for $10,000. A considerable sum back then. However, apparently no movie was ever made.
