He was the oldest child of James Perry Lynes and Genie Louise Cameron Lynes. He married Marie Cathleen Harris (Dec. 1,1934). They had Phyllis Annette(Pender) and Judith Marie(Usry). He spent most of his life in Savannah,Ga. He worked as a conductor for the old Atlantic Coastline Railroad.His home was at 2206 Texas Ave.in Savannah. After Marie died he was married to Clyde Carter Bishop of Portal,Ga.(a widow),in September 1975.They were married for six years prior to his death. He died instantly from an aneurism of the aorta while preparing to leave the St. Joeseph's Hospital in Savannah.He was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Savannah.He was a very honest and trustworthy person. He was also a good husband,good father,and loving grandfather to his six grandchildren. He is sadly missed by his family.
