Veteran Salesman; 50 Years In Toledo
Charles H. Carsten, 2341 Detroit Ave., a salesman for 30 years, died yesterday in Mercy Hospital. He was 76.
Mr. Carsten, born in Ottawa County, O., had lived in Toledo 50 years. He had worked in Ohio and Michigan many years as a salesman for the H. D. Bullock Co. He was employed by the DeVilbiss Co. the last three years. He was a member of United Commercial Travelers. No. 10.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; son, Eugene, Port Clinton; daughters, Mrs. James Pickering and Mrs. Lawrence Mennitt, Miami, Fla.; brothers, John, Rocky Ridge, O.; Lewis, Toledo, and Edward, Elmore, O.; five grandchildren and ? great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Boyer-Feilbach-Van Wormer Mortuary, Collingwood Memorial. The Rev. Kenneth Cutler of Rosewood Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
