[Allen Forman was born at Brandonville, Preston county, W. Va., on May 30, 1845, and died at Morgantown Saturday, January 2, 1932, aged 86 years, 7 months, and 3 days. He was the first of five children born to Richard and Nancy Fik Forman. He was married to Caroline Forquar at Brandonville on May 30, 1872, and to this union six children were born, Alleta B., widow of the late John C. Mayer; Charles H., Arthur D., Mary M., Nancy and Harry, the first four of whom survive him, Nancy having died in 1918, and Harry in 1907. He is also survived by his brother, Lewis J. Forman, Petersburg, W. Va., former State Senator; and five grandchildren, Eleanor, Erma, Nancy and Fred Forman, and Lewis Jones, of Oakland. He was a member[s] of the M. E. church, first at Brandonville, and later at Amboy. He moved to Amboy in 1873 and was engaged in farming and the timber business. He served for 18 years as a member of the Pres¬ ton county court, and was a school trustee for a long period of time.]
