George took many photos in the early 1900's. I admire him for labeling most of them. He was quite an inventor. He had a shoe repair shop in Everett, Washington.

George A. Alf, 77, of 3308 Kromer Avenue, died at his home late Thursday evening following an extended illness. Mr. Alf was born in Salem, Mo., June 12, 1876, and had lived in Everett for 35 years. He was a shoe repairman before his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Freda Alf of 3308 Kromer Avenue; three sons, George Alf Jr., of 6601 Jefferson Street, Edward Alf of San Diego, and Kenneth Alf of Auburn; four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Mitchel of San Diego, Mrs. Hazel Muray of San Diego, Mrs. Annie Marvin of Kent, and Miss Helen Alf of 3306 Kromer Avenue; a sister, Mrs. Marie Hudson of Tacoma; two brothers, Harvey Alf of Colville and Albert Alf of Everett; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
