James “Jim” Chasse, 55, of Harwinton, beloved husband of Julie (MacArthur) Chasse, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014. Jim was born in Southington on February 19, 1959 and was a son of the late Valere and Georgette (Roberge) Chasse. Jim was a Bristol resident prior to moving to Harwinton in 1998 and was currently employed at Pratt & Whitney, E. Hartford. Jim loved to laugh, go sailing and riding his motorcycle. He loved his children and was always there for them. Anytime they needed him, he would drop what he was doing and be there. Besides his wife, Jim is survived by two sons: Matthew Chasse and his fiance’ Stephanie Regner, of Bristol and Colton Chasse, of Harwinton; a daughter and son-in-law: Kaitlyn Mode and her husband Jonathan, of Middletown; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Sandra Chasse and Richard and Marcy Chasse, all of Bristol; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Marie Keeton, of Bristol and Valerie and William Willett, of Harwinton;; a sister-in-law: Joan Chasse, of Harwinton; his dog Sage and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother: Clifford Chasse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 10 AM at the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
