Verlinda Beall died in 1812 according to SAR application of John Alexander Hardy in 1921. The will of Lucy Beall has her sister dying before 1799. (Contribution by Susan Eskite, 14 Mar 2022). According to 'Alexander Beall: One line of descent in America" by William McLean pg 17, Verlinda Beall died before 1799 predicated on the will of Lucy Beall.
Verlinda's grandmother's will excerpt:
"BEALL, VERLINDER (Magruder), Prince George's Co, 29 March 1745
To grand-dau, VERLINDER, the dau of my son JOSIAH, 1 slave.
To dau LUCY, 20 pounds money.
To 2 daus HANNAH and VERLINDER, my 6 youngest child: BAZEL, LUCY, JOHN, HANNAH, VERLINDER and CLEMENT.
Appoint my son JOSIAH and dau LUCY execs., they to educate my son CLEMENT with Christian faith.
Wit: James Edmonston, Geo. Cook, Mary Edmonston, 24.48-49"
In 1804, Verlinda's brother left his estate to his nieces and nephews and begins with-"In the name of God Amen, I Josiah Beall, son of Josiah of Allegany County and State of Maryland". The will of Josiah Beall (brother of Verlinda Beall nee Beall) can be found in the Allegany County MD Probate Records 1790-1850, wills Book A, Josiah Beall, p. 70 dated Dec. 11, 1804:
-to nephew and nieces, the children of Thomas Beall of Samuel and his wife, Verlinda, named: John Brooke Beall; Josiah Beall; Isaac Beall; Ann Beatty, the wife of John Conrad Beatty; Eliza Beall, the wife of Aza Beall; Lucy English, the wife of James English; Priscilla Beall; and Eleanor Beall deceased, therefore her children William Beall Beatty, Thomas Beall Beatty, Otho Richard Beatty, Sue Beatty, Louisa Beatty are named as heirs of Eleanor's share of the estate.
