Preston Case Burgin, age 81, Harrodsburg, widower of Doris Ransdell Burgin, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Heritage Hall Care Ctr., Lawrenceburg, KY.

Born March 5, 1924 in Anderson County, KY, he was the son of the late Tyler P. and Frances T. (Case) Burgin. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a retired heavy equipment operator Kentucky Utilities. Preston was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, Light & Lively, the V.F.W., American Legion, North Mercer Concerned Citizens and a 4H Leader.

Survivors include: one daughter: Joy (Joe) Stevens of Harrodsburg, KY; Step Son, James Davis Lawson of Harrodsburg, KY two sisters: Maurice Ritter of Louisville, KY and Garnett Gibson of Lawrenceburg, KY; a Special Companion, Virginia Gray of Harrodsburg, KY;; four grandchildren, Ann-Margret Perkins, Chris Bentley, Cathy Schooler and Lisa Swick; two Step Grandchildren, Michael Lawson, Bradi York; ; 8 great grandchildren; 5 Step Great Grandchildren; 2 Nieces ; 2 Nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Elwood Burgin and two great grandsons.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, February 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Dann Masden and Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are: Chris Bentley, Kevin Perkins, Jonny Schooler, Joe Stevens, Carroll Gibson, Russell Harrod and Jeff Harrod. Honorary Bearers are: Good Samaritan Sunday School Class, Chester Scott and Eddie Sherrow,

Visitation will be Sunday, February 26 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
