Harold had been employed as a welder and steel fabricator for Herr & Sacco.
He enjoyed playing cards and woodworking.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl M. (Glenn) Ritter of New Holland, Sandra J. (Ronald) Spence of New Providence; 2 grandsons, Jared D. (Alison) Spence and Jason M. Spence; a great granddaughter, Rosyln L. Spence; and a sister, Alta Rohrer of Fairmount.
He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lee Showalter; a brother, Kenneth Showalter; and a sister, Barbara Creider.
A viewing will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 AM. Interment will follow in New Providence Church of God Cemetery.
