Born April 30, 1935 in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Abner and Allie Marie Rodgers Johnson. He was a retired maintenance worker for General Motors. Manuel was a devoted father. He enjoyed playing rook and pitching horseshoes.
In addition to his parents, Manuel is preceded in death by a daughter, Patty J. Williams; three brothers, Shelley, Russell, and David Ricky Johnson; and two sisters, Vergie Lyons and Retha McGuire.
Funeral services are 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Clifford DeHart officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
