Ervin C. Spec Cassabaum, 85, a life-long resident of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 12, from
9:30 to 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. The Rev. Dr. Jack Harrison will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton, Dodge County.
Ervin Clare Cassabaum was born on June 26, 1919, in Beaver Dam, to the late George W. and Amanda (Wollenburg) Cassabaum. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1937. Spec served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He held several jobs throughout his life, but for the most part, he was a truck driver for Schlagel and also for Linck Construction. Spec was a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post 146; Grace Presbyterian Church, and the International Order of the Odd Fellows.
Survivors include his friend and housekeeper, Gertrude Christensen, Beaver Dam; several cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Murray Funeral Home, 131 E. Maple Ave., Beaver Dam, is serving the family.
