Loretta Cheryl Hamrick Morrison

Loretta Cheryl Hamrick Morrison, 52, of Longs Crossing Road, Leetonia went home to be with her Lord. She died at home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 3, 1954 in Gassaway, she was the daughter of Norma L. Frame Hamrick of Widen and the late Russell C. Hamrick.
Loretta and Jim were members of the First Christian Church of Salem, OH and attended Koinonia Sunday School Class. Loretta was always helping others, many times without their knowledge. She deeply loved her Lord, her family and friends. Her deep and abiding faith was an example to all who crossed her path.
Loretta was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a caring daughter, sister and friend. She touched people’s lives wherever she went, and she will truly be missed.
Survivors include her husband, James Michael (Jim) Morrison, whom she married November 23, 1973; one son, James C. (Tracey) Morrison of Leetonia; one daughter Nikki (Daniel) Reynolds of Leetonia; and four grandchildren, James Clayton Morrison, Julia Paige Reynolds, Luke Clayton Reynolds and Rachel Lauren Reynolds, all of Leetonia, OH.
Also survived by two sisters, Lorraine (Robert) Brown and Ramona (Gary) Hosey, both of Sutton, and 5 brothers, Russell C. (Beaver) and Wilda Hamrick II of Birch River, Corley V (Corky) and Timberly Hamrick of Clay; Craig (Ruthie) Hamrick of Gassaway; Mark W. (Debra) Hamrick of Clay; and Travis B. (Barbara) Hamrick of Clay, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ben and Ocie Hamrick of Sutton, and maternal grandparents, Corley and Pearl Frame of Widen.
Loretta’s in-laws are John and Anna Morrison of Little Birch; and brothers-in-law Randy Morrison of South Carolina and David Morrison of Warren, OH.
A celebration of Loretta’s life was held at the Salem First Christian Church with teh Rev. Leonard Moore officiating. Burial followed at Franklin Square Cemetery.
