He was born in Marietta on April 7, 1925 to Carl William and Alma Lorena Decker Barth.
Richard was a graduate of Marietta High School and was a member of Marietta College’s first class of Petroleum Engineers in 1955, and had worked for many oil companies in the Northeast, as a consultant. He was a US Army veteran of World War ll.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean.
Abiding with his wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be interred in Rainbow Cemetery. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is honored to assist with Mr. Barth’s arrangements.
