Obituary

Esther J. Minetti, 70, of West Middlesex, PA, passed away peacefully at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 19, 2003 in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following an extended illness.

Mrs. Minetti was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Lawrence C. Whetstone and the late Marguerite Drenning Whetstone.
Her husband, Leonard S. Minetti, whom she married Dec. 9, 1953, passed away Sept. 2, 1999.

She is survived by two daughters, Jan L. Nigro and her husband Thomas R. of Sharon, PA, and Kimberly K. Minetti, of West Middlesex; two sisters, Raye R. Diehl, Manns Choice, PA and Rose A. Harper and her husband Willis, Strawberry, Az.
She is also survived by three half-sisters: Linda J. Hollowniczky and her husband Steve, Sullivan, Ohio, Rhonda M. Neibauer (Randall), Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Anita Whetstone, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and three half-brothers, Edward L. Whetstone, Big Flats, WI; Calvin C. Whetstone (Anne) Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Timothy T. Whetstone, Frenchtown MT; three grandchildren, Amy J. Palumbo, Beth Ann Trolio and Mary D. Nigro; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Rose Trolio and Maria I. Palumbo.

Mrs. Minetti was alumni of Bedford High School, Bedford PA. She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company in her earlier years. She also worked for the former Zayres and later Ames department stores, both Hermitage, PA, for a number of years. She had also worked for the former John Schuster's Steak House in Masury.
She enjoyed sewing and playing cards in her spare time. She had at one time belonged to a card club. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great­grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex with the Rev. James P. Leuenberger officiating. Cremation services will be provided by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home in Sharon.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected].

* Cremated Her ashes were divided with half being buried with her husband Lenny in West Middlesex area, and the other half will be buried with her mother, Marguerite, at Sweet Root Cemetery, Bedford, PA, when spring comes.
