90, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Baptist Health.
Born in Louisville, he was a US Navy World War II veteran and retired manager for Faucett Dearing-Paper Control. He was a member of American Legion Post 201 and a former member of the Transportation Club "Rusty Wheels" Retirement Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Joseph W. Mullen, III.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Charlotte Johnson; daughter, Deborah Mullen Strand (Rich); step-sons, James Allen Hipps, Jr. (Kim) and William Kerry Hipps (Robin); three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
