Joe Myers' Rites Conducted Sunday at Bear Creek
Funeral services were held at Bear Creek Baptist church, Sunday at 2 p.m. for Joe Argile Myers, farmer of Attala, who died suddenly of a heart attack Friday while on a visit in Zama. He was 54.
Officiating at the services was the Rev. H.H. Ward. Burial was in Bear Creek cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home.
Myers, who was the son of the late G.W. and Bettie McGee Myers was born in Neshoba county, but had resided for many years in the Bear Creek community.
He was a World War veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the American Legion.
He leaves six brothers: Mark Myers, and George Myers of Philadelphia; Allen Myers, Hot Springs, N. Mexico; R.L. Myers, McCool; Edgar Myers, Jackson and Ezra Myers, Center; three sisters: Mrs. Margie Fortune, Cardwell Mo.; Mrs. Middie Breazeale, Meridian and Mrs. Alma Duran, Philadelphia.Argile Myers, wife of, Joe A. Myers. Argile and Joe A. Myers share the same tomb stone.
