Pud grew up in Haddonfield and Ocean City. She graduated in 1949 from Mater Misericordiae Academy in Marion, Pa. She attended Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, Pa. Pud graduated in 1974, from Cape May County Vocational School, as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Pud met the love of her life, George M. Savitsky, and they were married in St. Augustine's RC Church in Ocean City, on September 6, 1952. They moved to Ocean City in 1966, where they raised their children and remained lifelong residents.
Pud was a dedicated wife and loving mother to her 5 children. Pud loved life and was loved by all who were blessed to have crossed her path. She had many lifelong friends and everywhere she went, she would light up the room with her beautiful smile and sparkling personality. She will be forever missed by all those lives she touched.
Pud is predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Gertrude Hurley, her brother, Daniel Hurley, and her sisters, Dol Hurley and Geraldine Rossman.
Pud was the beloved wife for 60 years of the late George M. Savitsky.
She is survived by her loving children, 3 daughters, 2 sons. Pud was also blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may attend Pud's life celebration and viewing on Friday September 19, 2014 from 10 O'clock until 11:15 in the morning at St. Francis Cabrini RC Church, 2nd street at Atlantic Avenue in Ocean City. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at 11:30. Interment will follow in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Savitsky's name may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P O Box 758517 Topeka, Ks. 66675.
