At the end of the war she met John Thomas who was a Canadian soldier and became a war bride on December 26, 1945.
In May 1950 the family moved to Aylesbury, Saskatchewan; With the aid of the Veteran’s Association, John and Corrie bought a farm outside of Chamberlain, Sask. and farmed for 13 years. In 1963 the family moved to Canmore because Corrie’s sister Maria J 'Meika' (Overgaauw) and her husband Jack Jacobus C 'Jack' Blok had immigrated here from Holland.
Predeceased by her husband John (May 1973 age 52 years)
Funeral Service was held on Monday, March 24, 2013 in Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore. She wias then laid to rest in the Canmore Cemetery with her husband John.
