Frank Homan died at his home in Alton on Sunday, September 27 of diabetes. Deceased was born at St. Donatus, Jackson County, Iowa on March 15, 1860 and was therefore 54 years of age when he passed on. In 1887, Mr. Homan came to Sioux County. Two years later, on January 22nd, at St. Donatus, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Miss Susan Streff. To this union was blessed with eight children, all of whom, and also his life partner, survive.

The funeral services were held on Wednesday from St. Mary’s Church. Reverend Nicholas Homan of Hazelton, Iowa, nephew of the deceased, read the Mass For the Dead and further assisted Very Reverend F.J. Brune in the service. Interment was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The surviving children are John, Rosa, George, Emma, Olivia, Roman, Julius and Odillo. The deceased is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: John of Alton, Theodore of Adrian, Minnesota, Mrs. J.P. Boulfas of St. Donatus, Iowa, Mrs. J.P. Tritz of Dumont, Minnesota.
