Lola Barnett 9/24/1916 ~ 9/30/2009 Lola Barnett, 93, passed away Sept. 30, 2009. She was born in Iowa, Sept. 24, 1916 and spent her childhood days there. She moved to California where she met her husband, Walter Barnett. They resided in San Mateo, California. Lola worked for Swift and Co. where she met her husband and later she worked for Griffith Plastic from which she retired in 1981. She later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and stayed with her sister until entering Avalon Valley Care Center. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, sisters and brothers. She is survived by sisters Geneva Bremer of Holstein, Iowa and Donna Noland of Salt Lake City; many nieces and nephews; family and wonderful friends. Thanks to Avalon Valley and Hospice for their loving care. A memorial will be held Oct. 10, 2009 at the home of Donna Noland from 2-4 pm for family and friends. Interment of ashes will be in San Mateo, California at a later date.
